Clinique Youville Clinic Inc. is a community health centre located in Treaty One territory, also known as Winnipeg, MB. Canada.
Youville was opened in the
early 1980’s as a response to needs in the community. Early on in our beginnings, Youville
focused on family health and then later expanded to include a focus on
diabetes education and management, sexual and reproductive health and health promotion programming - from pre-natal programming, to seniors programming and everything in between.
Today, Youville has three
locations;
- Youville Diabetes Centre in St. Boniface;
- Youville
Community Health Centre in St. Vital;
- Huddle South Central also located in St. Boniface with a focus on services for ages 12-29 in central Winnipeg,
Southdale, all St. Boniface neighborhoods, as well as all St. Vital
neighborhoods.
All three sites strive to
create and deliver anti-oppressive, anti-racist and socially just community
health services and supports, grounded in Reconciliation and Equity and
operating based on a community health model.
