About Us

Youville Community Health Centre located at 6-845 Dakota Street is a non-profit community-based, health resource in the community of St Vital.  Youville Centre provides a place where individuals and families can work on their health concerns with health professionals or with other people who have similar experiences.  Our belief that health is impacted by social factors such as shelter, education, food and income shapes the programs we deliver.  We focus on the needs and strengths of the community, striving for the most efficient and caring delivery of services and programs.

A diverse mix of services

Through our programs, Youville provides a diverse mix of culturally sensitive services, ranging from health care and wellness education, to counselling and support.  We encourage people to become involved in the management of their own health concerns, and help them identify activities and programs that are of most benefit to them.  Our holistic approach attends to the needs of the mind, body and spirit.

Hours of Operation:  Monday to Thursday 9am to 9pm and Friday 9am to 5pm.

Professional & caring staff

Our staff are a team of fully qualified health care professionals including dietitians, community health nurses, a counsellor, physician, community development worker, certified health educators, support staff, and an outreach worker. Our staff is committed to providing professional caring service and support for everyone who walks through our doors.

Community development

We are responsive to community needs and initiatives.  Our community development approach builds on leadership, knowledge and life experiences of community members and partners to contribute to the health of the community.

Partners make us stronger: Youville has formed relationships with a number of community-based organizations to provide clients with access to a wide range of resources. We look for innovative ways to improve the health of our community by working with doctors, pharmacists, schools, committees, other health organizations and seniors’ councils.
